How Mindfulness Changes the Brain
There has been much research on how the brain is changed by practicing mindfulness on a regular basis. "Practicing Mindfulness" means adding both formal and informal mindfulness practices to your regular daily routines and life. Formal practices include meditation, mindful movement and body scans (a particular type of meditation focused on your body). Informal practices mean going through your day to day being present in different activities like eating, dressing, showering, communicating with others...etc.
